How do I connect my phone to MouthX for the first time?
Install the Aurax App and follow the guided setup to pair your MouthX via Bluetooth, sign in or create an account, and complete initial configuration step by step.
Before you start:
- Turn Bluetooth ON on your phone.
- On iPhone, enable AssistiveTouch: Settings → Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch → On. (On Android, you can skip this.)
Connect through the Aurax App (recommended):
- Download and install the Aurax App, then confirm it installed correctly.
- Open the app for the first time.
- Sign up using a Google or Apple account.
- In the app, follow: Add new → Set up MouthX → Accept permissions.
- When prompted, select: MouthX_V1.10 → Connect → Link → Link.
If it won’t connect in the app (manual pairing):
-
Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and scan for devices.
-
You may see two devices—one is the charging base (do not connect to that one).
-
Connect to the correct device: MOUTHx_V1.10.
How to confirm it worked:
- Once connected, you should be able to move the pointer using Joystick 1 (take it out of the base and try gentle movements).
Tip to avoid the most common mistake: if pairing seems stuck, re-check step 7—most issues happen when the phone connects to the charging base instead of the MouthX device.
