How do I connect my phone to MouthX for the first time as a tester?
Use this temporary tester setup flow to install the Aurax App through the file or TestFlight access sent by Aurax, pair MouthX by Bluetooth, and complete the first configuration before daily use.
Important: The first time you use MouthX to your devices, it has to be the tablet or phone where you will install the app. You can connect to computers later on.
Before you start, make sure you have received the setup materials directly from Aurax. Depending on your phone, Aurax may send you:
-
an installation file
-
a TestFlight invitation for iPhone
-
your MouthX device
-
the charging case
-
access to the tester version of the Aurax App
Do not install files or apps that were not sent directly by Aurax.
If you use iPhone
-
Open the TestFlight invitation sent by Aurax.
-
Install TestFlight if your phone asks you to.
-
Accept the invitation.
-
Install the Aurax App tester version.
-
Open the Aurax App once installation is complete.
In iOS, you have to activate AssistiveTouch:
Settings → Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch → On
Connect through the Aurax App (recommended):
- Download and install the Aurax App, then confirm it installed correctly.
- Open the app for the first time.
- Sign up using a Google or Apple account.
- In the app, follow: Add new → Set up MouthX → Accept permissions.
- When prompted, select: MOUTHx_Name → Connect → Link → Link.
If it won’t connect in the app (manual pairing):
-
First, connect to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and scan for devices.
-
You may see two devices—one is the charging base (do not connect to that one).
-
Connect to the correct device: MOUTHx_Name.
How to confirm it worked:
- Once connected, you should be able to move the pointer using Joystick 1 (take it out of the base and try gentle movements).
Tip to avoid the most common mistake: if pairing seems stuck, re-check step 3 of the manual configuration—most issues happen when the phone connects to the charging base instead of the MouthX device.
