How do I switch MouthX from my phone to my computer or tablet?
Switch MouthX between your phone, computer, tablet, or other active devices using the 3-second suction gesture, the Aurax App, or a configured joystick gesture.
You can switch MouthX from one device to another in different ways, depending on your configuration.
For example, you can switch from your phone to your computer, or vice versa, with simple gestures or manually through the app.
Before switching, make sure the devices you want to use are already paired with MouthX and are included in your active device list (Favourite Devices) in the Aurax App.
MouthX can store up to 15 paired devices, but quick switching works between up to 3 active devices.
Option 1: switch directly from MouthX using suction
Use this option when you want to switch devices without opening the Aurax App.
- Make sure you are not pressing any joystick.
- Keep your mouth closed.
- Apply suction for 3 seconds.
- Wait for the haptic confirmation.
- Release suction.
- MouthX will switch to the next active device in the configured order.

Keep your mouth closed during the full suction gesture. If your mouth opens or the suction is interrupted, MouthX may not detect the gesture correctly.
It is important to hold suction for 3 seconds, not 1.5 seconds. A 1.5-second suction gesture is used to switch modes.
Option 2: switch devices from the Aurax App
Use this option if you want to select the device manually or if you are still getting used to multi-device use. This is usually the clearest method when you are setting up your devices for the first time or when you are not sure which device MouthX will switch to next.
- Open the Aurax App.
- Go to the Favourite Devices section.
- Select the device you want to control.
- Confirm that it becomes the active device.

Option 3: switch using a joystick gesture
If you have assigned device switching to a specific joystick gesture, you can use that gesture to switch devices without opening the Aurax App.
For example, you may press and move the jaw joystick backwards.
If the gesture does not work, check in the Aurax App that device switching is assigned correctly and that the device you want to switch to is included in your active device list.
How the switching order works
MouthX switches according to the active device order configured in the Aurax App.
This means MouthX does not necessarily switch to the device that is physically closest to you.
For example, if your active order is “phone, computer, tablet”, using the suction gesture will move MouthX from phone to computer, then from computer to tablet, and then back to phone.
Mode switching vs device switching
MouthX also uses suction to switch modes, but the timing is different:
- 1.5 seconds: switch mode
- 3 seconds: switch device
If you release suction too early, MouthX may switch mode instead of switching to another device.
If MouthX switches to the wrong device
Check the Devices section in the Aurax App. Make sure that:
- the device you want to use is paired
- the device is included in the active device list
- the active device order is correct
- Bluetooth is enabled on the device you want to control
- the device is close enough to connect
