Can I use wheelchairs with MouthX?
MouthX cannot currently be used to control wheelchairs or mobility devices. It is designed for compatible digital devices while mobility control requires specific safety and regulatory approvals.

MouthX is designed to help you interact with compatible digital devices, such as phones, tablets, and computers. At this stage, it is not designed, tested, or approved to control wheelchairs, powered wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or any other mobility device.
Why can’t I use MouthX with a wheelchair?
Wheelchairs and mobility devices require specific safety systems, control standards, and regulatory approvals. MouthX is not a medical device and is not a wheelchair control system. For safety and regulatory reasons, you should not use MouthX to drive, steer, stop, or operate a wheelchair or any mobility device.
What can I use MouthX for?
MouthX is currently designed to control compatible digital devices, such as phones, tablets and computers.

Depending on your setup, MouthX can help you move a pointer, click, scroll, navigate apps, type, switch devices, or use customized commands.
We know that controlling wheelchairs or other mobility devices is a feature some users would like to have in the future. We receive constant feedback from our community, and we take this need seriously.
However, wheelchairs and mobility devices require specific safety systems, control standards, and regulatory approvals. For this reason, MouthX cannot currently be used for that purpose.

Do not connect MouthX to a wheelchair or use it as a mobility control system.
If you need a solution to control your wheelchair, please speak with your wheelchair provider, occupational therapist, rehabilitation specialist, or clinical team. They can recommend a control system that is specifically designed and approved for mobility use.
