You can get your intraoral scan done at one of Aurax’s collaborating scanning centres or your prefered center with our guidelines.
After placing your order, Aurax will provide the instructions needed to complete the scan. If your scanning provider is already one of Aurax’s collaborating centres, they will have the required information.
Option 1: use a collaborating scanning centre
If there is a collaborating centre available near you, this is usually the recommended option.
Collaborating centres are familiar with the MouthX scan requirements and can follow the correct process. You can check the list of available centres here.
Option 2: use another scanning provider
If there is no collaborating centre near you, you may be able to complete the scan with another provider that offers intraoral scanning.
Before your appointment, make sure the provider receives the MouthX scan instructions, which you will have received by mail.
What the scanning provider needs to know
The scan must follow Aurax’s instructions so it can be reviewed correctly. The scanning provider should check:
- which areas need to be scanned
- the required scan quality
- the accepted file format
- how to export the file
- how the scan should be sent or uploaded
If the scan is incomplete, unclear, or does not contain the required information, Aurax may ask for a new scan. This can extend the process.
After the scan
Once the scan is completed, it should be sent to Aurax following the instructions provided to the scanning provider.
Aurax will then review the scan and confirm whether it contains the information needed to continue with the customisation process. You can see the entire process here.
